Frequently asked questions
Ivy Educators stands out for our Ivy League-qualified tutors and our personalized, student-centric approach. All our tutors have attended Ivy League or similarly prestigious universities, and each has demonstrated exceptional expertise (such as top 1% scores on standardized tests). Unlike generic tutoring centers, we offer tailored one-on-one programs built around each student’s goals and learning style. We emphasize measurable progress – you’ll receive regular updates on improvements – and we’ve helped students not only boost test scores and grades, but also gain admission to elite colleges. We combine world-class academic credentials with mentorship and support, ensuring an experience that is both highly effective and genuinely caring.
Our sessions are conducted online via a live video platform (such as Zoom), so you can learn from the comfort of home. After you schedule a session, we’ll send you a secure meeting link. During the lesson, you’ll interact in real time with your tutor – you can see and hear each other, and even work together on a digital whiteboard or shared documents. Each session is typically one hour, but we offer flexible scheduling to accommodate longer or shorter sessions as needed. We also provide digital resources (like PDFs of practice problems, slide decks, etc.) after each session. Online delivery allows us to connect you with the best Ivy Educators tutor for your needs, regardless of location, and scheduling is flexible (even evenings and weekends).
Ivy Educators supports middle school through high school students (and even college-bound seniors). We cover all core academic subjects and many electives. This includes math (pre-Algebra through Calculus), sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), English literature and writing, Spanish (and other foreign languages upon request), and social studies/history. We specialize in standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, PSAT) and AP exam tutoring across subjects. Additionally, we offer college admissions coaching for high school juniors and seniors working on applications. Whether a student is a 7th grader seeking enrichment or a 12th grader prepping for the SAT and college applications, we have qualified tutors ready to help.
We believe in transparent pricing. Our tutoring is pay-as-you-go or by package – there are no long-term contracts required. Rates vary by service: for example, standard subject tutoring starts at $90/hour, SAT/ACT test prep is $120/hour, and college admissions consulting is $150/hour. We offer discounted packages for multiple sessions (see our Pricing page for the full breakdown of options and savings). The initial consultation is free, so you can discuss your needs and see if Ivy Educators is the right fit with no upfront cost. There are no hidden fees (all materials and session prep time are included in the tuition), and we’re upfront about all costs before you begin.
Getting started is simple! Just head over to our Contact/Booking page and fill out the short form to schedule your free consultation. In that consultation (via phone or Zoom), we’ll discuss the student’s needs, goals, and scheduling preferences. Based on that, we’ll match the student with the ideal tutor for their subject or test. After the consultation, we’ll recommend a tutoring plan (for example, weekly sessions, a package of 10 lessons, etc.) and send you all the details to begin. There’s no obligation to continue after the free consult – but if you’re ready to proceed, we can typically start tutoring within a week or sooner. Of course, you can also reach out to us via email or phone if you prefer, and we’ll guide you through the sign-up process.
We understand that schedules can change. If you need to reschedule or cancel a tutoring session, just let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we can move your appointment at no cost or penalty. We try to be flexible – if an emergency comes up last-minute, we will do our best to accommodate a reschedule. Our cancellation policy is student-friendly: there’s no charge for sessions canceled with sufficient notice. You can coordinate new times directly with your tutor or contact our support team to rearrange your schedule. We want our tutoring to fit seamlessly into your life, so don’t hesitate to communicate any scheduling needs.
